Telefio is supported by individuals who purchase bigger plans in exchange for more features. The FREE plan requires you to supply carrier info so you might have to keep up those info when you add / update subscriber data.

To send a message to a group from your phone, first go to the automation menu and click Group Text from your phone template from template options on top. And save the template. And use the following format to send text from your mobile device.

To 000-000-0000 (Telefio custom number)

Message Body:

Sendgrouptext (group name) any message here

For example,

To 000-000-0000

Sendgrouptext (fund_raiser_group2) Hello, we are meeting at 3:00pm today for a session.

Subscribers will receive text as below

From: Your Telefio number

Message: Hello, we are meeting at 3:00pm today for a session

To blast a message to all from your phone, first go to the automation menu and click Group Text from your phone template from template options on top. And save the template. And use the following format to send text from your mobile device.

Message Body:

Sendgrouptext (all) any message here

Sendgrouptext (all) Hello, we are meeting at 3:00pm today for a session.

Subscribers will receive text as below

We are using email to text technology for FREE pan. So you have to supply carrier info for each subscriber phone number.

Your email-to-sms account number will not look like a traditional 10-digit number. Your number is actually an email address that acts as a regular phone number. It will be formatted this way: sms+number@telefio.com.

Here are a few examples:

sms+245@telefio.com

sms+1039@telefio.com

To get a real phone number as your account number, you will need to upgrade to a plan that supports custom numbers.

You are able to import a CSV or XLSX (Excel) file with a list of members. To import, visit the member's page and click 'Import'. You may need to upgrade to a plan that supports importing.

The columns have to be formatted correctly in order for the member to be imported successfully. Use the following columns: firstname, lastname, email, phone. To make sure you use the correct column name for the provider please free free to download the contact list sample CSV from here.

Scheduling a message is very easy. All you need to do is go to the Send Message page, select the members you want to send the message to, type the message body of the message and then select SEND LATER. It will give you a date selector which you can use to select when the message should be sent out.

You may need to upgrade to a plan that supports message scheduling.

Yes. Any paid plans allow more than one administrator to manage the account. All administrators in the account have the same rights. They can do everything the main administrator can.

Administrators can manage members, groups, conversation and automation. They can also update the account settings and create messages from their telefio custom phones.

To add an administrator, select any member from CONTACT page and click details. And you can click “is Admin” checkbox which allows you to set a new password for this new administrator.

To join an organization's contact list from your phone, set a join keyword in a group setup page. Once you set up a keyword you can advertise your audience to type the following to join the contact list. Please set up a proper confirmation message as well which will send to your audience once they sign up.

Here is an example as a subscriber:

To: {Your telefio number}

Message: {keyword} {Name}

Here are the real example,

To: 000-000-0000

Message: joinpizza John Kim

Response will be:

From: Your Telefio phone number

Message: Thanks for joining the pizza promotion from 879 Pizza company.

To stop receiving messages from Telefio, reply with 'STOP' (without quotes) to the number that sent you the message. To start receiving messages again, send 'START' (without quotes) to the number again.

To improve delivery rate, we offer real SMS plans. The SMS plans cost more per message so there is a limit to how many messages you can send per month. If you need more messages per month, upgrade to a higher plan with a larger monthly quota. For more info about plan/monthly limit please visit pricing page.

FREE plan has only 100 contacts you can have. But if you are in a paid plan you can have unlimited contacts.

There may be multiple reasons why you are not receiving messages from Telefio.

If you replied with 'STOP', you may need to reply back with 'START' to resume messages.

If your account has an email-to-SMS number, your mobile provider may not be set.

If your account has an email-to-SMS number, your mobile provider may not have a reliable email-to-SMS gateway.

Automation is a powerful message automation platform. Please start with a template like auto-responder, voting or setup sending group text from your phone, etc.

Click one of the templates to get started or just click the NEW AUTOMATION button. And Click any element from the Event which signals as trigger. And select CONDITION elements which allow you to set a conditional use case. For example, if you like to set Reply Value as equal to “weekend” and then you can select any element from ACTION and use it as output. For example, you can choose the REPLY WITH MESSAGE element to reply text with a message. Lastly please link the sequence by dragging and dropping the error line between the sequence box as below. This allows a set sequence of actions.
